It all started with a trip to D.C.

Yep thats me! I attended the 2017 People’s Climate March in Washington D.C. I have always been passionate about preserving our environment, but the march made me realize that this is what I wanted to do with my career. And the best part was I could make a career out of my interests in the environment. Where where to start? First things first, I realized that if we want to see a change in the world, its up to us to make that change. I began to research ways I could change my lifestyle without it being inconvenient. I live a busy, on-the-go life that many people live as well. As a full time commuter student who also works, I live for convenience. How could I live a convenient sustainable life? Well thank God for Google! I began by purchasing a reusable water bottle. Simple, right? Then it took off from there. To reduce trash, I began to buy in bulk, filling glass jars at my local grocery store, instead of buying packaged goods. Composting food scraps instead of throwing them out. I stopped eating meat (for multiple reasons, but that’s a different story).

My dream in life is to teach/influence others how to live a more sustainable life. Whether its a trash-free life, vegetarian/pescatarian/vegan diet, or how to give back to the community, I hope everybody reading this feels like I can help transition them to a new lifestyle.
